Dr. Santiago Vidaurri

Dr. Santiago Vidaurri is a Board Certified ObGyn with 21 years of experience. He attended medical school at the Facultad de Medicina de UANL in Monterrey and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Hospital de Ginecología y Obstetricia (Clínica #23 IMSS) in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. His practice offers general care for women (well woman visits, pap smears, colposcopy, etc..), maternity care and treatment of pelvic pain, menstrual problems, and infertility in overweight patients. Dr. Vidaurri has added qualifications in ultrasonography which he utilizes routinely to complement his clinical examinations. He performs obstetric ultrasounds on every maternity office visit and elective prenatal 4-D ultrasounds for patients between (20-32 weeks) when requested. Dr. Vidaurri is also trained in Color Doppler Sonography which can speed the detection of serious illness or malformations in premature infants. In his spare time, Dr. Vidaurri enjoys playing golf and riding motorcycles.

Dr. Jorge Cerda

Over the last 10 years, Dr. Jorge Cerda's professional passion has been to help expecting mothers enjoy their pregnancies. Dr. Cerda attended medical school at the UAT in Matamoros and was the Top Medical Graduate of his residency at the Hospital General Norberto Trevino in Victoria. During his Ob/Gyn residency, he completed rotations in reproductive biology, urogynecology and oncogynecology at the Clínica #23 IMSS de Ginecología in Monterrey. Dr. Cerda splits his time between teaching residents, seeing patients at the Hospital General and seeing his private patients. He has focused his private practice on general care for women- (cancer screenings, treatment for STD's, menopause and peri-menopause) and maternity care, including high-risk pregnancies. Dr. Cerda prides himself on being very thorough with patients and their spouse. A typical office visit lasts between 45-60 minutes.everytime.  

Dr. Octavio Amaral

Dr. Octavio Amaral has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Matamoros area over the last 18 years. He attended medical school at the Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Guadalajara and completed his residency in Ob/Gyn at the Hospital General Alfredo Pumarejo in Matamoros. Dr. Amaral is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, a member of the Federacion Mexicana de Gineco-Obstetricia and served as the President and founding member of the local chapter of the Asociacion de Gineco-Obstetricia. His practice is predominantly focused on Obstetrics, providing pre-natal care and preventing/minimizing complications that may occur throughout a pregnancy. He takes first-time couples through a "Maternity Guide" on every office visit that prompts commonly asked questions and tracks the baby's development benchmarks. Dr. Amaral also sees patients for general women's health issues such as cancer screening & treatments for: cervical/vaginal infections, irregular bleeding, fibrocystic breasts, urinary incontinence and menopause. Dr. Francisco Rubio

Dr. Francisco Rubio has served patients in the Matamoros area for over 19 years. He attended medical school at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo Leon and completed his residency in Obstretrics and Gynecology at the Hospital Universitario de Nuevo Leon in Monterrey. During his residency he completed a rotation in reproductive biology and minimally invasive surgery at the Woman's Hospital of Texas in Houston. His practice focuses on providing prenatal care, preventative women's care as well as treatments for infertility, precancerous lesions, uterine myomas, uterine bleeding, endometriosis, breast fibroadenomas, osteoporosis and depression. Dr. Rubio has a special interest in helping women (and their spouses) navigate through the hormonal roller coaster rides experienced during the peri-menopausal years.
