Dr. Santiago Menchaca is a Board Certified nephrologist specializing in the treatment of patients with kidney damage caused by Diabetes. Dr. Menchaca attended medical school at the UAT school of Medicine in Matamoros and completed his residency in nephrology at the Unidad Medica de Alta Especialidades #25 del IMSS in Monterrey Mexico. He has added qualifications in nephropathology (kidney biopsies) and has significant experience preparing patients for and providing follow up care after a kidney transplant. Dr. Menchaca is currently the Regional Coordinator for the local Bioethics Committee responsible for the procurement of organ donation in Matamoros. Dr. Menchaca has considerable institutional experience (IMSS and Hospital Pumarejo) and has been in private practice for three years. He is the Medical Director of the Kidney Dialysis Center at CMI Hospital and has access to state of the art equipment such as the URO-CTScan and ANGIO-MRI to accurately diagnose his patients. Dr. Menchaca is up-to-date on the most innovative bio-tech products available to stop the progression of kidney disease and strengthen renal function.
